New Spatial VR audio app and library
Convert mono & stereo to spatial VR audio on all platforms
Music is changing again. By leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality (VR) technologies, LCT has invented Spatial VR Audio and announced that the software and library are ready to license to streaming music and audio device industries. At the same time, LCT has released a new version of 3D Musica – the first app with Spatial VR audio, on the iOS App Store with many new exciting features.
Spatial VR audio is distinguished from spatial audio in the following areas:
- Converts mono and stereo music to spatial music directly, without using multiple isolated sound tracks and doesn’t need to re-record the music which you already have. The conversion can be done by our software in real time on a user’s smartphone or other mobile device.
- Recreates a virtual sound field (the “soundstage”) and allows the listener to virtually walk around on and configure the soundstage to find the best place to enjoy music. This is revolutionary for DJ mixing and equalization.
Spatial VR audio and 3D Musica provide a novel listening experience, where different instrument sounds come from different spatial locations. Listeners hear music like they are on a stage, for example, vocals in front, drums on the right, keyboard on the left, and bass in the back. In addition, the listener can configure the virtual sound field, for example increasing the volume of the drums or isolating them for a drum solo. Listeners can also convert and record their spatial VR audio and karaoke in-app.
LCT’s spatial VR audio software and library can be used in the music streaming industry to convert stereo to spatial audio. The Spatial VR library can also be installed in smart speakers, soundbars, headphones, TVs, car audio systems, smartphones, tablets, and any other device or chip which can play or process audio. LCT will provide services to business partners to ensure a smooth and quick transfer to their products or services.
